Turbine efficiency

The Turbine efficiency Software modulemonitors indirectly the level of losses due to transformation of steam thermal energy to mechanical energy.

Turbine efficiency is determined basing on steam path expansion line calculations performed in real-time for the high-pressure and low-pressure part of the turbine. Steam parameters determined in this way, e.g. enthalpy, entropy and inlet, outlet and extractions steam quality are further used to balance heating exchangers, regeneration exchangers, evactor and turbine condenser.

Online turbine steam path expansion line identification allows to determine the induced power and power transmitted onto turbine’s shaft on it’s each stage .
This data is then used as a base for online calculation of turbine internal efficiency, heat balance and its economic indicators .

For heating and regeneration exchangers, complete balance of steam flow, condensate and drain as well as thermal power balance is calculated.

In order to evaluate operating conditions of this equipment, terminal temperature differences are calculated as well.
